The Eagle Returns

June 13, 2007

2007 marks the first time that a wild eagle has hatched in Ireland for over a century. The Golden Eagles Re-Introduction Project has had its first eaglet, born in Donegal where for the last seven years birds from Scotland have been relocated to the wilds of Glenveigh National Park.

Congratulations to Lorcan O'Toole and the team and we're sure this will be the first of many. It's a truly amazing experience to see the Golden Eagle soar wild over Ireland and I was lucky enough to see them not so long ago.
