Calling all young Artists - Caulfield’s SuperValu launches Art Competition
Don Conroy calls on all budding artists to take part!
Caulfield’s SuperValu today launched its popular art competition and is encouraging schoolchildren based near Caulfield Stores (see below for list of locations) to get involved!
Budding artists can win loads of art goodies and have their work of art featured in a national newspaper as well as the chance to win a computer and colour printer for their school.
This year’s theme is ‘Caring for our Environment’ and gives local national schools the chance to paint, draw, or even sketch a picture of what caring for their local environment means to them.
The Art Competition will take place across the eight locations where the Caulfield’s SuperValu stores are located.
The competition will run from the 1st October until 31st October 2007 with the winners being announced on the 30th November. It is open to all students from 1st class through to 6th class in participating schools. There are two categories; 1st class – 3rd class and 4th class – 6th class and winners from the two categories will receive a hamper of fantastic art supplies. The regional finalists will go through to an overall final.
A judging panel headed by Don Conroy will select the overall winner and the winning piece of artwork will be used in Caulfield’s SuperValu environmental policies and publications. The winning pupil will win a computer and printer for their school and a PSP game console and bundle of games for themselves.
Entry forms will be available from your local Caulfield’s SuperValu
- Caulfield’s SuperValu stores are located in Bandon, Merchant’s Quay, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, New Ross, Enniscorthy and Malahide.
